LCS(LoCation Service)及LBS(Location Based Service): 手機殺手級應用

手機在市場上的各項應用,常許多的雜誌媒體中出現, 除了SMS的文字簡訊外,還沒有讓人認定的殺手級應用! 但是,在許多文章中，不斷會在討論手機適地性的應用,是為手機最重要的殺手應用! 談到手機適地性的服務，大多了解手機應用軟體產業的朋友們，只談LBS(Location Based Service), 很少談到LCS (LoCation Service)，而此這兩者有什麼差異呢?

LBS根據WIKI的定義為:

A location-based service (LBS) is an information and entertainment service, accessible with mobile devices through the mobile network and utilizing the ability to make use of the geographical position of the mobile device [1] [2] [3].

LCS根據3GPP的規範定義為:

LCS (LoCation Services): LCS is a service concept in system (e.g. GSM or UMTS) standardization. LCS specifies all the necessary network elements and entities, their functionalities, interfaces, as well as communication messages, due to implement the positioning functionality in a cellular network. Note that LCS does not specify any location based (value added) services except locating of emergency calls.

而參考LG所定義的LCS及LBS如下:

其中LCS指的是』Where am I』 而LBS指的是』How can I go to the gas lamp quarter from here?』 而從兩者的定義及運用是有所不同, 我想』Where am I』是指我在那裏! 而LBS加入了有特性之服務!

所以, 可以把LBS 及LCS 兩者寫成以下之等式!
